Job Description

Job Title: Fa莽ade Engineer Location: London (Hybrid working available) Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Overview: We are seeking an experienced and technically strong Fa莽ade Engineer to join a small to medium-sized contractor working on some of London's most high-end and architecturally complex projects. Projects span commercial, residential, and hospitality sectors, with a mix of new build and cut-and-carve schemes.

You'll play a key role in supporting the design and delivery of innovative fa莽ade systems, ensuring both performance and aesthetic standards are met. Experience in stone fa莽ades is desirable, but a solid background in fa莽ade engineering is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide engineering support across all stages of fa莽ade projects, from concept through to construction
• Conduct structural and thermal performance analysis of fa莽ade systems
• Collaborate with design teams, consultants, and site teams to develop buildable, compliant solutions
• Review and comment on technical drawings, specifications, and calculations
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations
• Attend design meetings, site inspections, and coordinate technical issues as needed

Requirements:

• Proven experience working as a Fa莽ade Engineer within the construction or fa莽ade industry
• Solid understanding of structural and thermal principles related to fa莽ade systems
• Experience with a range of systems including curtain walling, rainscreen cladding, glazing, and ideally stonework
• Proficiency in structural analysis software and AutoCAD; familiarity with Revit is an advantage
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
• Comfortable working on multiple projects across London, with flexible hybrid working
