Cardo has entered into an asset purchase agreement to acquire Breyer Group’s Roofing division.
It has also separately taken over Breyer’s contract with the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames for responsive repairs and maintenance, ensuring that services continue uninterrupted.
The deal saves close to 100 jobs.
Breyer Group – comprising Breyer Roofing, Breyer Repair and Breuer Renew – went into administration on 1st April 2025.
Glen Carter, partner at RSM UK and joint administrator, said: “We are pleased to have secured a sale of Breyer Group’s roofing division and in a separate transaction, the continuity of the company’s contract with the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames to Cardo. The transactions have preserved a significant number of jobs and allows services to certain clients to be maintained.â€

Cardo Group chief executive Liam Bevan said: “We are deeply aware of the impact that a sudden collapse can have - on residents, local authorities, and the people who dedicate their careers to delivering essential services.

By acquiring the Breyer Roofing division and taking on key contracts like Kingston, we are not only ensuring that homes are maintained but also supporting skilled workers whose expertise is vital to the sector.

Breyer Group’s most recent accounts show turnover of £83m for the year to 31st May 2023. In the year to 29th February 2024 Cardo Group turned over £84m.
