The multi-million pound redevelopment of part of the Old Square Shopping Centre is being led by Walsall Council after the authority agreed to provide آ£8m from its cash reserves to kick start the project back in April 2013.
The project will involve the demolition of part of the Old Square Shopping Centre’s former Tesco building and surrounding units and the construction of a new 54,000 sq ft development, which will house a Primark store and a Mid-Counties Co-Operative supermarket.
The project is programmed to complete in the first quarter of 2015.آ
