David, 43, brings 20 years experience to his new post, most recently as UK business development director at Mace Group鈥檚 construction division.
鈥淚鈥檓 delighted to have joined the Morgan Sindall team in Scotland,鈥 says David.聽 鈥淭here are some exciting opportunities out there in the public and private sectors, and over the next 12 months we will be looking to grow our presence in Edinburgh and the Lothians, Fife, Dundee, Aberdeen and the Highlands.鈥
Recently, Morgan Sindall鈥檚 parent company merged its construction, infrastructure and design businesses to create the new Morgan Sindall brand.聽 David adds:聽 鈥淭his is a very exciting time for us as the merger makes it much easier and more efficient for our customers to work with one joined-up business which can provide integrated services, particularly across the transport, defence, energy, water, healthcare and education sectors.鈥

The company has a range of projects underway in the East of Scotland including constructing a new 拢7.8 million primary school in Dunfermline for Fife Council which is set to be the most sustainable in Scotland.聽 The company will also complete the 拢20.2 million final phase of the redevelopment of HMP Perth this summer and was recently awarded a 拢95.4 million PPP scheme to create two new mental health hospitals in North Scotlandfor NHS Tayside and the North of Scotland Planning Group.聽 The firm has also been awarded a 拢14.1 million contract to design and build the new Airdrie Community health Centre and retail units for Graham Street Airdrie Retail Portfolio.
Morgan Sindall is also one of the biggest providers of education facilities in the UK and in the West is currently working on a number of multi-million frameworks to re-build and re-model schools for a number of local authorities across Scotland.
