A couple of coats of high visibility yellow paint in these key areas is all it is taking to make it safer for operators to get in and out. The proposal came from contractor Morgan Sindall.
Operations director Kevin McEwan said that “all machines will be painted as they go through our normal workshop inspection and the whole fleet should be completed by the end of March 2011â€.
He added: “We are grateful to Morgan Sindall in house plant company Magnor Plant for passing on this simple yet cost effective improvement in operator safety, a great example of best practice being spread throughout the industry.â€
