Claire Jackson joined Galliford Try as bid manager in 2014 from Morgan Sindall. She takes over as education director from Michael Buchanan who is stepping down after seven years in the top role but postponing his retirement to take an advisory role.
Under Michael Buchanan, Galliford Try’s education order book has grown to be worth more than the £1bn, in part through Education Funding Agency (EFA) frameworks and the Scottish Hub frameworks.
Mick Laws, managing director of Galliford Try Midlands & South, said: “Claire has been a key part of the education team at Galliford Try and will continue our focus on developing opportunities throughout the country. This change demonstrates our commitment to succession planning and developing people within our business. We are delighted that Michael has agreed to remain with us in a key advisory role, and we look forward to continuing our success in the education sector going forward.â€
