Lovell has been awarded a housing maintenance contract by Hull City Council which was formerly operated by collapsed building firm Connaught.
The agreement means the Morgan Sindall subsidiary will take on 96 former Connaught workers.
“We are delighted to have been chosen by Hull City Council to take on this contract previously operated by Connaught, securing local jobs and providing a valuable service to residents,†says Lovell managing director Stewart Davenport.
“Nationally, it means that over 70 former Connaught contracts are now set to transfer to Lovell. We are extremely pleased to have secured so many partnerships with housing associations and landlords in less than six weeks, saving over 2,000 jobs nationwide.â€
