The 50,000th Takeuchi, a TB217R mini excavator (pictured above), was sold by south of England Takeuchi dealer CBL to L-Lynch Plant Hire & Haulage as part of an order for more than 100 machines.
Lynch has been running Takeuchi excavators for decades. The first order in the year 2000 included the original Takeuchi TB175, in both tracked and wheeled versions. Since then, Takeuchi excavators in all sorts of sizes have always been part of the Lynch fleet.
Chairman and founder Liam Lynch considers Takeuchi an important part of his fleet. “Our customers and service fitters liked the machine and that’s why over the years we have probably invested in more than 1,000 Takeuchi units.”

CBL managing director Charlotte Barford expressed her pride in the milestone, saying: “This is a truly special moment for CBL, and we couldn’t be more delighted to share it with Lynch. The sale of the 50,000th Takeuchi mini excavator is a testament to the strength of the Takeuchi brand, the trust of our customers, and the dedication of the CBL team.”
Takeuchi Mfg UK marketing manager Holly Cooke added: “The 50k milestone is a testimony to just how far the Takeuchi brand has come in the UK and Ireland with a dedicated and professional dealer network. Since starting out in 1996 it took 20 years to pass 25,000 sales and then just nine more years to reach 50,000, highlighting just how popular Takeuchi has become. We want to say thank you to all our Takeuchi customers over the years for trusting us with your investment”.
